I was really bracing myself for a tough meet
weather wise, but this turned out for the best … even though
a bit on the cool side. Looks like the kids really enjoy the
format, and with your help we ran over 220 races in just under one
hour. I think the format is a keeper, but I look forward to
repeating the event when it’s a bit warmer.
71% best time and over 90% of the swimmers
with at least one best time makes this a meet well above average.
No DQs at this meet, and I am trying really hard to forget some of
the group 3 and 4 swimmers who flip turned from back to breast on
their 100 IM …. As well as a handful of one hand touches!
Our younger swimmers did an amazing job, many
had never done more than a few 25s before, and they stepped up and
tackled the hardest race for them, the 100 individual medley.
Congratulations to all of our group 1 swimmers for putting on a
great show.
